Haiti Disaster Relief

The Vancouver Sun has a suggested list of organizations Canadians can choose for Haiti Disaster Relief giving.  The Canadian government will be matching gifts given to a number of these organizations.  My number one suggestion is to give to those who already had staff on the ground in Haiti.  If you had a relationship with an organization or orphanage before the earthquake in Haiti they will likely need your help now too.

Hy Craig do you think its worth giving money to the CNBC fund I was given a link to or one of these you suggest?

I think its fine; the work in Haiti with Baptist Disaster Relief and the CNBC fund is already established through some ministry relationships between groups in Florida and Haiti. In fact we had several give through Cityview and that’s where we are sending it. However, because of the matching gift offer we have several friends who are giving to organizations in Canada that will get those matching funds from the Canadian government.
